‘At 3 p. m. Monday the girls, all pupils in the Home Economics department, will give a style show in the girls’ gymnasium. All girls in the school have been invited - as well as women faculty members and the girls’ mothers. The clothing will be of all types, even including an ice skating costume. The style show will be repeated at 7:45 p. m, Tuesday at a meeting of the Howe P.-T. A.

Out of Hospital

Brother Marcian, Cathedral High ‘School principal, was expected to resume duties at the school today. The. Cathedral prihcipal has been confined to -a hospital - for two weeks because of illness.

Howe Seniors Elect

Officers of the first senior class at Howe High School who: have ‘just been installed are: Gordon Jones; president; Phyllis Dukes, vice president; Betty Ann Harvey, secretary; Robert Winter, treasurer, and Margaret Clendening and Robert Alexander, Student Council representatives. ‘Blue, maroon and gold were chosen as class colors.

Heads Speech Contest

L. P. McGhehey, Broad Ripple High, School teacher, has heen chosen a district chairman of the annual American Legipn Oratorical Contest. Howe High School will enter the Legion Essay Contest for the first time this year.

Manual Spellers Compete

Forty-three Manual High School pupils Wednesday will vie for places on two spelling teams of 10 each that will compete for honors the following day. The 43 were selected in a series ‘of spelling competitions sponsored at the school by the English Department. The one best speller will be awarded a certificate at spring Honor Day exercises.
