Merrill Patrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Patrick, 1230 King Ave., will be, commissioned a sec: ond lieutenant in the Army Ail Corps at graduation exercises Jan. 18 at Maxwell Field, Montgomery, Ala. He is a native of Indianapolis, attended School 75 and graduated from Washington High School. He was an honor student at Washington and went to Purdue University for two years on a scholarship. Mr. Patrick, who is 21, has been designated a bomber pilot, but as yet has not been assigned to a base.
