mistaken his reindeer for domestic deer and shot them. The reindeers were imported from Alaska for a Christmas cele-

the deer hunting season. One of them came back, the other was captured, but the third is still at large—or in some hunter's frying pan. :

P.) —Inspectors equipped with oxygen masks entered the No. 6 coal mine tipple of the Raleigh Coal and Cole Corp. today to repair damage and restore -proper ventilation preparatory to an official investigation inte the explosion which took seven lives ‘yesterday. N. P. Rhinehart, State Mines Department chief, said he would begin an inquiry after the mine is cleared of fumes. The investigation . is scheduled to begin tomorrow. Within five hours after the blast, rescue workers recovered the bodies

of the seven victims and rescued 66 other men in the mine workings.
