FULLER, 6. 0. P. * LEADER, DEAD

Insurance Agency Director Had Backed Emmert for Governorship.

Bert C. Fuller, insurance agency director and for many years a leader’ in Republican politics, died yesterday at his home, 3902 College Ave. © Mr. Fuller, who was 57, actively supported the candidacy of Judge * James A. Emmert, Shelbyville, for Governor in the Republican convention this year. He also was one of the organizers years ago of the old Lincoln Club. For the last 15 years, he and a son, George E. Fuller, operated the Fuller Insurance Agency here.

Mr. Fuller was born in Evansville. Whén Harry G. Leslie became a candidate ior Governor, Mr. Fuller Served as his campaign manager.

Mr. Fuller was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Vincennes, and the Third Church of Christ, Scientist.. He also was a member of the Mystic Shrine and the 32d Degree & Scottish Rite at Evansville. Surviving him, in addition to his son, George, are his wife; two brothers, Roy C. Fuller, Brazil,>and George Fuller, Vincennes. : Services will be at 2:30 p. m. Yednesiny in Vincennes, with burial . there.

Miss Alta M. Golladay

_ Following a long illness, Miss Alta M. Golladay died yesterday at her home, 2283 N. Illinois St. She was

a former employee of the Indiana Bell Telephone Co. and had worked at H. P. Wasson & Co. 16 years. She was a member of the mother church of the Church of Christ, Scientist, of Boston, Mass. Surviving is a sister, Miss Bess QGolladay of Indianapolis. Services will be at 2 p. m. tomorrow in the Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary with burial in Crown Hill. Thomas Perine will officiate.

LOCAL DEATHS

J. E. Morand :

J. E. Morand, who owned one of the first automobiles in Indianapolis and who held the contract for hauling mail from the Union Station to the Postoffice before that department operated its own trucks, died yesterday after a three-day illness. He was 76 and lived at 2310 College Ave. Mr. Morand, who was a native of New York, had lived in Indianapolis more than 50 years. He was widely known in the transfer business, operating the Frank Bird Transfer Co. here after Mr. Bird’s death. He formerly was president of the Safety Traffic Signal Co. in. Chicago and was manager of the Parmelee Transfer Co. there at one time. He also was president of the Lousville Transfer Co. He was known for the fine carriages he operated in Indianapolis years ago. He retired in 1930. He was a member of Centre Lodge; F. & A. M.,, and the Methodist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry P. Disbecker, of Leonia, N. J: Friends may call at the Clyde ‘Montgomery Funeral Home, 1622 N. Meridian St., tomorrow afternoon. Funeral services will be there at 2 p. m. Wednesday and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hattie E. Newsom

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie E. Newsom, who died Saturday in the Methodist Hospital, will be held at 10 a. m. tomorrow at her home, 1907 Fletcher Ave. Burial will be in Elizabethtown, where she was born. Mrs. Newsom, who was 72, was a resident of Indianapolis. 20 years. She was the daughter of Edward and Mary Morgan and was married to Willis E. Newsom Aug. 5, 1888. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago. . She was a member of the Methodist Church in Elizabethtown. Survivors are her husband; three sons, Ralph and Harry Newsom, both of Indianapolis, and Charles Newsom of Dayton, O.; four daughters, Mrrs. Mary Calvin, Mrs. Edith Butsch and Mrs. Opal Parsons, all of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Mildred Critser of Bargersville; 18 grand‘children and seven great-grand-children.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday in the Herrmann Funeral Home, 2151 N. Meridian St. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin.

Henry T. Mickley

Funeral services for Henry T. Mickley, retired Indianapolis contractor who died Saturday -at his home, 427 N. Sherman Drive, were to be at 2 p. m. today in the Dorsey Funeral Home, Burial was to.be in Crown Hill. Mr. Mickley, who was 75, had been ill 18 months. Mrs. Ella Dresser Belcher, who had been ill five weeks, died today at the Ft. Harrison Hospital today: Mrs. Belcher was the wife of Lieut. Col. William Wilson Belcher of the U. S. Army Quartermaster Corps, stationed at Ft. Harrison. Services and burial will be at New London, Conn.

On T. B. Clinic Staff He was a physician of the Free Tuberculosis Clinic since 1917 and of the consulting staff at the Marion County Tuberculosis Hospital at Sunnyside. A member of Centre Lodge, F. & A. M,, Scottish Rite and the Indiana Medical Society, he attended Roberts Park Methodist Episcopal Church. He also was a member of the Trudeau Society for 25 years and was active in the American Legion. :

Bert Fowler

Funeral services for Bert Fowler,|

an electrician living at 37 N. Mount St., will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow at the Royster & Askin Mortuary and burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Fowler, who was 55, died yesterday at Long Hospital after several years of ill health. Employed by the Miller Electrical Co. as an electrician at the Allison Engineering Co., Mr. Fowler was a member of Electrical Workers Union 481, and had lived on the West Side for 25 years. He came to Indianapolis in 1909 from Owensboro, Ky., his birth place. . Surviving are his wife, Hazel, and a. nephew, Gerald Duvall.

Joseph A. Gornstein

Joseph A. Gornstein, a native Russian and an Indianapolis resident for seven years, died yesterday "at Methodist Hospital after several months’ illness. He was 41, lived at 3801 E. Washington St. and was a clerk for the Monon Railroad. He was a member of the Monument Lodge, F. & A. M. Surviving are his wife, Jettie; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gornstein; two brothers; Morris and George, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Caplin, all of Indianapols, and another sister, Miss Bessie ‘Gornstein of California. Services ‘were to be held at 1:30 p. m. today at the Aaron Ruben Funeral Home with Rabbi Maurice Goldblatt and the Rev. Sam Levine officiating. Burial was to be at Knessis-Israel Cemetery. . Mitija Sinkovic Mitija Sinkovic, who came to Indianapolis from Austria in 1905, died yesterday at his home, 562 King Ave. He was 58. Mr. Sinkovi¢e worked for 35 years at the National Malleable and Steel Casting Co. and was a member of the Aloysius St. Joseph Society and the Holy Trinity: Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Ivana; a daughter, Mrs. Olga Simonelig; three sons, Mike, Matthew and Francis, and a granddaughter, Olga Simonelig, all of Indianapolis. Services will be held at 8:30 a. m., Wednesday at the Stevens & Sons Funeral Home and at 9 a. m. at the Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Charles J. Gaunt

A former auto agent, Charles J. Gaunt, 219 W. 38th St., died Saturday at his home. A native of the city, Mr. Gaunt was a member of the First Baptist Church, the American Legion, Scottish Rite, Shrine and the Kiwanis Club. Surviving are his wife, Alberta: his mother, Mrs. Laura E. Gaunt; two brothers, Paul of Indianapolis, and Arthur B. of Scarsdale, N. Y., and a sister, Mrs. Earl King of Scarsdale.

Charles W. Pease

Funeral services for Charles W. Pease, who died Saturday night at his home, 2519 N. Pennsylvania St., will be held at 8 p. m. tomorrow at the Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary. Cremation will follow. Mr. Pease was 88. He set up an electrical fixture firm in the old When Building, sold it in 1920 to the Romer Electric Co. and retired. Born in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Pease came to Indianapolis 30 years ago. : Sy His wife, Rosetta, survives.
