They will get most of their meat by killing wild animals. Rent is free, Mrs. Shine pointed out, and they don’t need any money for movies or other entertainment. There is plenty of work to keep both husy, prepare the meals, skin and tan hides of animals they trap, and take care of fhe trap lines. CHICAGO, Nov. 29, (U. P.)—The Rev. Wallace E. Conkling, rector: of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Germantown, Pa. yesterday was elected bishop of the Chicago Diocese, spiritual leader of 100,000 Epis-
copalians of Chicago and northern
Illinois.
The Rev. Mr. Conkling, identified with the “high church” group and at 45 the youngest man ever considered for leadership of the rich diocese, was chosen on the second ballot -of ' 106 ' clergy from the 125 sybordinate parishes. The selection las confirmed by the vote of 43 of the 67 lay delegates. He s&s the late Bishop Craig Stewart, who died last May after serving almost 10
seals.
