Mrs. Magdalen Friend Lanskop of Upland, Cal, in court in Chicago suing for half of the $2,000,000 estate of the late Dr. Emanuel Friend, noted Chicago physician. He divorced her :on ground; of desertion in 1933, she received a $25,000 settlement in lieu of all dower claims, and she married again after the divorce, but she now says she was insane at the time, of the divorce and at the time of her second marriage, consequently both are invalid, and shé is still Dr. Friend’s widow.
