By FRANK WIDNER

IRA BECHTEL, who lives in ,Z Waterford, didn’t fully celebrate Thanksgiving last week so he’s going to do it up right Thursday. It seems that Mr. Bechtel, who purchased a turkey for the holiday from Harry Hite, ran into a little trouble with the bird.

Our records show that communists call strikes and prolong them for purposes which serve the ends of Moscow’s revolutionary program. “9. Our" evidence further reveals that in a Southern California aircraft plant there exists a clique of

“10. Our evidence indicates that {the Communist group and the Nazi | group in aircraft have been co-op-erating since the Stalin-Hitler pact.

Recalls Voorhis Hearing

“11. On Nov. 8, 1940, members of the so-called German clique appeared before Congressman Voorhis, sitting ‘as a subcommittee, in the federal building in Los Angeles, Cal. The following facts were established at this hearing: . “Assistant foreman—German born, was a commander for the German Army during the World War, formerly employed at Dornier Aircraft in Germany, and has family connections in Germany. “Night superintendent — German born, in the engineering corps during the World War, family connections in Germany with a brother employed in an airplane factory. “Foreman—born in Friederickshaven, a machine gunner for the German Army during the World War. “Foreman—Employed at Luftschifftun Zeppelin Co., with family connections in Germany. “Foreman — German born, formerly employed in aircraft factory in Germany, with a family in Germany. “Foreman—Born in Germany with present family ‘connection in Ger-. many. “Lead man—German born, employed in experimental department at Dornier Aircraft in Friederickshaven, Germany, with family con-

BOMBSIGHT CHANGE MAY DELAY PLANES

WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 (U. P.).— Installation of the Sperry bombsight, instead of the highly secret Norden sight, on 20 flying fortress bombers sought here by the British may delay their delivery for several months, it was learned today. Substitution of the Sperry sight is one of the conditions on which the Army air corps plans to release the flying fortresses and 26 heavy Consolidated bombers to the R. A. F. It was understood, however, that since the flying fortresses originally were designed for the Norden sight, several changes in design and, in some cases, the actual structure of a finished plane would have to be made to permit installation of the Sperry bombsight. Experts said that such procedure probably would require several months.
