Sees South America Benefit _.

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay, Nov. 6 (U. P.).—"“This is a great day for America because it assures cohtinua-

tion of a policy which in concrete |

form* has ‘made possible intensification of true Pan-Americanism,” said Vice President Cesar Charlone today in commenting on the United States Presidential election. “For me it is a matter of sincere satisfaction! to know that President Roosevelt, a brilliant statesman

ng from my vsits ‘to the United

States, will be the leader of our great, brother nation in the north at this critical moment for the world. “I. believe his avowed policy of mutual respect and understanding between countries of this continent will attain fruition within a relatively short period in beneficial cultural and commercial inter changes within the Hemisphere. “I believe that the countries of the River Plate, in the long run, will find mutual benefit as the result of the election.”
