This is the present condition on anti-ants as ‘reported by Charles H. Bowen, an anti-ant paste company representative here for the annual convention of the National Pest Control Association at the Claypool
Mr. Bowen got into this business about 15 years ago when his father assigned him to the anti-insect pa-|
trol on the family farm near St. Louis. Since that time Mr, Bowen has devoted the major portion of his life to insects. He is an entomologist with master’s papers from the University of Missouri and he has seen foreign service in Panama in a recent war on insects conducted by banana plantation owners. Mr. Bowen says his food (as he refers to the paste) will be fatal to ants, which, he says: 1. Bother you in the kitchen. 2. Eat ‘up your house (these are called the “carpenter ants” because they work on wood). .
