WFBM. 8:30—Senator Wagner, WFBM. 8:30—Al Smith, WIR 9:00—Bob Hope, WIRE, 9:30—Wendell Willkie, WIRE.
Heavy firing continues on the political front tonight. Ambassador Joseph P, * Kennedy, recently returned from London, and Senator Robert F. Wagner will speak for the Democrats, Wendell Willkie, Al Smith and C. Wayland Brooks will be heard on the Republican side. Mr. Kennedy's address’ will be carried over WFBM at 8 o'clock. Al Smith is to speak over | WIRE at 8:30. The Republican| standard bearer will be heard at 9:30 over WIRE in another of his now famous question and answer talks. Mr. Brooks, who is the Republican candidate for the U..S. Senate in Illinois, will be heard over WIRE at 10:30. Mr. Kennedy has made no statement since his return to this country. He confejred with the President yesterday and it is believed his radio talk tonight will be his first public comment on the war situation. | . With Mr. Roosevelt's policy on foreign affairs under attack in the closing stages of the campaign, many observers feel that Mr. Kennedy’s address may be one of the most important of the campaign. 2 nn | Movie starlet’ Gloria Jean will be guest of the quiz Bes on their NBC-Blue program ednesday ~ night, |7 o'clock. , : .
