Many of the Indiana Gas Model Association pilots will travel to Dayton, O., for the Ohio association's big annual meet. New York Man Slugged and Robbed of $60,000 Gems In Ft. Wayne.
FT. WAYNE, Ind, Oct. 17 (U.
P.).—Police today sought two young men, about 25 years of age, who last night slugged Sol Roseman, partowner and operator of Sol Roseman, Inc., of New York, and took unset diamonds valued between $60,000 and $75,000. | Mr. Roseman was attacked as he walked into the bus depot to catch a bus to Anderson, Ind. He told police that the two men were sitting in a parked car when he approached but that they came to- @ ward him when he neared the de- § pot. Then, he said, they slugged him on the head with a gun butt or a blackjack and again hit him on the righ hand. He said the blow on his hand prevented him from discharging .a tear gas bomb or setting off a burglar alarm in the jewel case. The bandits then ran to their parked car and drove away, he said. He was unable to furnish a clear

On one flight Keough's ship, which he designed himself, got up in the air powered by its Ohlsson 60 motor and just hung there for 8:03.6, an excellent time for a 20second motor run when there are no thermals. parking for about 20 years,” the Rev. Ralph Weber said today. “The United Brethren denomination thinks it is about time to move to new places in the field of christian literature.” The Rev. Mr. Weber was host to the United Brethren Northwest Area Conference on Christian Education which closed yesterday at the Brookside U. B. Church. Delegates were present from Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, and Iowa. The conference outlined plans for a new type of children’s literature which puts more stress on the Bible and Bible characters and less on civic heroes, and for the inauguration of a United Brethren magazine devoted entirely to material for children’s leaders and teachers. A new setup for mission study correlating the subject with every department of the church and church schools also was drafted. Present at the conference was Miss Rachel Brant, of Dayton, O., newly appointed Children’s Department director. She is the first woman of experience to be employed in this capacity in the church for 12 years, according to the Rev. Mr. Weber.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb., Oct. 17 (U. P).—A state highway patrolman testified at Scottsbluff that he had
no doubt whatsoever that the man he arrested was drunk. After arresting the driver of the car, the officer said he looked in the back seat and found another man, asleep and wearing but one shoe. The officer ordered him to put his other shoe on and come out of the car. Seconds later the man staggered out, his shoe on his head.
