Hammer Henry Finally Falls —And Badly
Fritize Zivic Now Rules Welterweights.

NEW YORK,| Oct. 5— Fritzie Zivic, the miracle man of maul, is ready to defend his brand new world welter-| weight crown against Henry Armstrong just as soon as Armstrong recovers from the bloody beating Zivic gave him | at Madison Square Garden last night.
Zivic, a brown-haired, pug-nosed lad from Pittsburgh handed the great Armstrong the worst beating of his career last night—had Armstrong lying flat on his face at the final bell that ended their 15-round melee. That bell saved Armstrong from his first knockout. Virtually every expert at the ringside agreed that had the fight lasted another minute, "Armstrong would have been knocked out. Under his contract, Zivic is bound to give Armstrong first crack at the 147-pound crown and within four months. But most of the boxing
