Joe Kelly of the Quiz Kids program has a good many radio. listeners baffled. He has dropped all his slick announcing manner and adopted a special character, about, half way between a simpering selfconscious school teacher and Uncle . Don. He punctuates his remarks with a silly laugh and the kids are good naturedly tolerant of his little didoes. In keeping with this clasactor he acts so well, with the answers right before his eyes, he regularly makes more mistakes than the unrehearsed kids. Another part of his “acting” is a pretense that he has never been around a studio and knows nothing about radio.
