Side painter. Mr. Mescall’s son island picture. at 20th Century-Fox and now is the Sonja Henie pictures including “Happy Landing” which is , being brought back to the Parker . tonight and tomorrow. You can safely bet Mr, Mescall will be ° there. Mr. | Mescall has made several trips to California to visit his son. On most of them he has spent part of his time painting sets for one of the major studios. He's going back in about a month and plans io live there. ) ” o 2 EDDIE ZEYEN has become rather a minor authority on Egyptology. As manager of Zaring’'s Egyptian Theater he has had occasion to delve into the Central Library's books on the land of the Pharaohs, Under his direction there recently were completed six large plagues to hang above the theater's sidelights. Each of them was carved from sections of friefes Mr. Zeyefi found in books of Egyptian art.

The group includes four violinists, and one new player in the viola, cello, flute, horn and bassoon sections, The musicians are: Philip Callaci, Barnett Gardelle, Jerome Kasin, William Nowinski and Theodore Silavin, violins; Jerome Lipson, viola; :Rudelph Uhlik, flute; Clyde Miller, horn, and Herman A. Beilfuss, bassoon. The men will report Nov. 1 to begin rehearsals. The orchestra's fourth season under Mr, Sevitzky's direction is to open Nov. 15716.
