Landis today called his annual pre-World Series conference between presidents of the American and National leagues and representatives of seven clubs with mathematical chances of landing in the series. Five American League clubs were represented—Detroit, Cleveland, New York, Boston and Chicago. Cincinnati and Brooklyn representatives also were invited. Between them they'll settle playing dates, days for traveling, and incidentals in connection with the world championship play-offs.
