Drive-In Manager Chased Balls as Indian Mascot In Washington Park

By DAVID MARSHALL

VERSATILE IS THE NAME for Arthur Phillips, Theater's manager, “Shorty,” (he stands about five inches over five feet) has had a career as heterogeneous as vegetable soup. He's been a professional baseball player, automobile salesman, orchestra leader, vaudeville production manager, purveyor of motion pictures, treasurer of a New York theater, and a booker for dance bands.
