Ettinger asked post commanders of four veterans organizations to solicit members to serve as precinct registrars on ‘registration day.” He discussed conscription plans with 57 post commanders of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Marine Corps League and the Spanish-American War Veterans. Mr. Ettinger explained that, “of | course,” all plans being made now| are tentative and may never be put. into use. “But we feel that we should get readv so that if the bill does pass, Marion County will be ready.” The County Clerk plans to have the post commanders of the veterans organizations send in pledge cards bearing the names of mem-
