Fireworks Shows Licensed For Butler Bowl and Fair Grounds.
There will be at least two public licensed fireworks displays here July 4. The Sahara Grotto will hold |: its annual. display in the Butler| Bowl while the 12th District American Legion: will stage its first pyrotechnical spectacle in the Fair Grounds. James C. Ahern is chairman of the committee sponsoring the Legion program. Assisting him are Mike Grider, district commander, Fred Haselbring, Joseph J. Speaks, Howard Meyer and Frank Mumford. SCHOOL SAFETY CAMP OFFICERS ANNOUNCED.

Evans, schools safety director and camp superintendent. : Mrs. Evans said that 257 officers of safety | patrol squads of public, Catholic |and Lutheran schools would attend the camp and that 30 would be chosen to form the camp band. under direction -of Alonzo Eidson of| Tech High School. The camp's purpose is to dvvelop leadership and squad efficiency. The boys will have two hours of class work in the morning and an hour and a half of safety demonstrations in the afternoon. FORMER CLERK OF MIDDLETOWN . HELD
NEW CASTLE, Ind. June 19 (U. P.).—James Keesling, former clerktreasurer of Middletown, was held in the Henry County Jail today awaiting trial on charges of embezzlement in connection with an alleged shortage of $4342 in the
[town's electric fund.
He was indicted by the Grand Jury yesterday after examination of a complaint from the State Accounts Board. His bond and a date for. trial were to be set in Circuit Court today.
