Most of yesterday's losses in hog prices at Indianapolis was recovered today, the Agricultural Marketing: Service reported. All weights in hogs and ‘packing sows shared a 10-cent advance which carried the top price back to $5.20 for 220 to 230-pounders. Vealers were active and sold at steady prices with a $9 top. ‘The Marketing Service reported 1373 salable cattle were received at the ' Union Stockyards here; 682 calves; 8407 hogs and 683: sheep.
