STOCK PRICES REGEDE AFTER

Volume Lightens as Peace Terms Are Awaited; Bonds Gain.

NEW YORK, June 18 (U. P.).— Stocks advanced fractions to more than 2 points early today at the best general levels in more than a

ened positions pending disclosure of the German peace terms to France. Volume dropped. Bonds generally improved. Commodities were mixed. Wheat and corn closed with fractional gains. Cotton had gains running to nearly a dollar a bale, while rubber had losses of as much as 32 points. As the session progressed, traders lightened stock holdings pending details of peace terms Hitler is willing to joffer France. In addition, there was a disposition to exerciss caution pending a speech scheduled to be broadcast by British Prime Minister Churchill after the close of the stock market. Bethlehem Steel hit 803%, up 25%, early, but in late dealings was around its previous close: U. S. Steel alse lost an early 2 point gain. American Airlines held more than half of an early 5 point rise. Chrysler and General Motors reacted to the previous closing levels, after setting up gains of a point and more.

Hog prices at Indianapolis cracked 10 to 15 cents today under pressure
