Christamore Society to Complete Season
The season’s final meeting: of the Christamore Aid Society will be a luncheon tomorrow at the Woodstock Club. The meeting originally was scheduled for last Tuesday. . New members of the society who will attend are Mesdames Wile liam L. Fortune Jr. Marlow W. Manion, Arthur Shea, Norman Perry Jr. and Robert Stempfel and the Misses Ann Noble Johnston, Mary Sheerin Kuhn and Joanne Dissette.
Country Club Bridge Wednesday
Mrs. Herbert S. King is chairman of the committee in charge of the ladies’ luncheon-bridge at the Indianapolis Country Club Wednesday. The luncheon will be served at 12:30 pom.
Meridian Hills Young People Plan Outing
A moonlight swimming party followed by a wiener roast is planned for Meridian Hills Country Club young persons at 8 p. m. tomorrow. Alvin Baer, swimming instrutor, is assisting a junior come mittee in making arrangements. The committee includes Misses Mary Jo McGuire, Jean Stackhouse, Sue Gabe and Mildred Orr, John Noble, James Murray Jr., Fred Flickinger and George O'Neil. The club’s annual ladder climb competition has started and classes have been organized. After Thursday children’s classes will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays with various divisions receiving instructions from 10 to 11:30 a. m. Advanced swimmers training for ‘Red Cross junior and senior life saving awards will receive instructions from 10 to 11 a. m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Women’s classes also are being organized. Arlington Horse Show Closes
The tenth annual Arlington Horse Show closed Saturday night before an audience of more than 2500 persons who watched the judge ing of 11 classes including three stake events. Memorial Aids Cancer Army
A contribution of $30 as a memorial to Mrs. James Renihan, a member who died recently, has been made by the Indianapolis auxiliary of the Indiana Firemen’s Association to the Women’s Field Army of the American Society for Control of Cancer, it was announced today at state headquarters of the field army in the Claypool Hotel. _ Several contributions have been received since active solicitation of funds stopped June 1. Employees of the Indianaoplis Postoffice contributed $127.50. Others are the Et Cetera Club, $10; Joan of Arc Woman’s Club, $5; Children’s Sunshine Club of Sunnyside, and the International Travel-Study Club, $10. Miss Grace Jackson, executive secretary of the Women’s Field Army, has received $376.91 from Tippecanoe County, Mrs. John W. Mrs. Ben Frey recently was elected president of the Madden Nottingham American Legion Auxiliary.
