MISSION GROUP * LISTS SPEAKERS
or. Homrighausen to Speak At National Session Here Nov. 10-17.
Dr. E. G. Homrighausen, professor at Princeton Theological Seminary and formerly of Indianapolis, will speak at the National Christian Mission meeting here Nov. 10-17. . This announcement was made by Dr. Jesse M. Bader, New York, chairman of the national committee, in the Spink-Arms Hotel when 100 members of the local committee were guests of the national at a meeting yesterday. The Christian Mission is to open with a ‘mass meeting Sunday evening, Nov. 10, in the Manufacturers’ Building at the Fair Grounds with Dr. E. Stanley Jones of India as speaker. It will close in the evening a week later in the same place when the Rt. Rev. Arthur Moore, Episcoral bishop of Jacksonville, Fla., will speak. Week-day evening meetings, Bible study sessions and seminars’ are to be held in all churches in all sections of the city as well as small group meetings in schools, factories and clubrooms. Additional speakers announced by Dr. Bader are the Rev. Philip Lee, _Chinese Baptist minister of Chicago; Mrs. Hilda Ives of Andover Newton Theological Seminary, Boston; Dr. Richard Roberts of Toronto, former moderator of the United Church of Canada, and Dr— A. W. Beaven, Colzate-Rochester Divinity School president. It is expected that 1500 Indiana ministers will come to Indianapolis to attend the mission meetings. The purpose of the mission is to recruit church members from those who do not belong to any communion and to revitalize the life of present church memberships.

BET 5-YEAR TERMS FOR 24 BURGLARIES
Three men who confessed to 24 burglaries were sentenced to five years in the Indiana State Prison, in Criminal Court late yesterday. They were Benny Gibberson, 27, of 1007 S. New Jersey St.; his brother, Robert, 25, of 951 Prospect St., and. Isaac Rogers, 22, of 1702 Lockwood St. They admitted entering 24 homes
and taking property worth more than $1000. They were arrested in December. They pleaded guilty to second degree burglary, receiving the maximum sentence from Judge Pro Tem. Russell J. Dean.

the national 4-H contests this fall. |
They are Miss Gertrude Ramey of Ben Davis, and Richard Rippberger of New Augusta. Both are members of “honor groups” from which the state champions will be chosen to compete with champions of 47 other states at the annual 4-H Roundup in Chicago. Miss Ramey was chosen one of five girls in the honor group in baking judging at the annual State roundup at Purdue University ‘this week. One of these five girls ‘will be chosen after Sept. 1 on the basis of scores made this week and achievement records in 4-H work this summer. Young Rippberger was in an honor ‘group of nine in the health contest. The scores at Purdue by this nine will also be weighed by their achievement records this

is named in September. Miss Anna Louise Brewer of Ben Davis was placed in an honor group of five after the demonstration contest at Purdue. However, there is no demonstration contest at the national roundup. Three Warren Central High School boys swept the State weed identification contest. Herbert Wachstetter, last year's winner, again took first place. Lowell Holzhausen was second and John DeWitt was third. James Brown of New Bethel, placed third in the egg judging contest and Charles Jack of New Augusta, placed fifth in the poultry judging contest. Marion County’s poultry and egg judging team took eighth place.
