Theodore Stein. .

Theodore Stein, born in Poland 76 years ago, is trying for the third time to become ‘a citizen of the United States and hopes that his

Mr. Stein, who lives at 510 N. Meridian St.,; has lived - in the United States ‘51 years. He took out his first naturalization papers for the third time at the Federal Building here recently and must wait two more years before he can be naturalized. Born in Exin, Poland, he came to the United States in 1889. He took out first papers in Pittsburgh in 1912 and the “first thing” he did was to vote for his “namesake,” Theodore Roosevelt for President. Before 1920 it was legal for aliens who had their first papers to vote. He wants to vote -once more, -but won't be able to do so in 1940. He again tock out first papers in Indianapolis in 1918 and again

third attempt won't be a strike-out.:

was “too busy” to finish ,up his [naturalization process. The second set of first papers expired in 1925 and he had to start ‘all over again when he came to the Federal Building seeking naturalization yesterday. He told Naturalization Bureau officials that he knew the Constitution well, but they said he couldn’t take the citizenship examination until he takes out his second papers, two years from now '—if he isn’t “too busy.”

TWO BROTHERS SENTENCED LOGANSPORT, ‘Ind, June 14 (U. P.).—Denying 2 motion for a new trial, Judge John B. Smith in Cass Circuit Court yesterday sentenced Glen Angleton, 22, and his brother, Keith, 27, to two-to-five year terms at the State Reforma- | tory on second-degree burglary
