Two people’ ‘escaped serious injury last night. when the car in which they were riding overturned after being struck by another at E. 10th St. and Park Ave. Harry L. Boese, 37, of 2619 E. 11th St., and his wife, Mary, 37, were taken to the Methodist Hospital for treatment of cuts and bruises. : | , Police said the car which struck Mr. Boese’s auto was operated by R. Ralston Jones. Jr., 5139. Central Ave. John | Mahoney, 70, .of "1500 S. West St., received scalp cuts when he was struck by an automobile in S. West St;- 1400 block. He was taken iene. City Hospital. . Police .said the car was driven by Gerald D. Debaun, 945 Coffey St. Two men were charged: with drunkenness after the car in which they were riding crashed into a railroad abutment at Kentucky Ave. and Missouri St. They were Fred Coats, 24, of 3952 Hoyt Ave. the driver, and Lonnie Heath, 56, of 1333 Oliver Ave. a passenger. Heath was treated at City Hospital for face lacerations. Alvin Burton, 6, of 1411 Linden|p St:, a pupil of School Ne. 18, was bruised when he was struck by a truck in Shelby St., 1400 block. Danzer Roberts, 701 N. New Jersey St, the truck driver, took the boy | to a dcctor.
