Face Manslaughter Counts: Third Kentuckian Is Sought by Police.
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind.,, May 28 (U. P).— Two Kentuckians were {questioned today by Clark County |officials regarding the slaying of a 38-year-old Jeffersonville taxicab driver, Edmund Davis, whose battered body was found, bound with wire, Sunday. They were J. W. Hayden Jr.; 20, and Clementine Luttrell, 17, both of Daviess County, Kentucky, Officials sald they weré seeking Milton, '30,-also of Kentucky, in connéction with the case. - : Both Clark County officials and State Police said there were no clues regarding Hawkins’ whereabouts. ,
Arrested in Owensboro
Hayden and Miss Luttrell were returned to Jeffersonville yesterday from Owensboro, Ky., for questioning. They were arrested at Owensboro after State Police and county officials had sent out a plea to all Midwest police to.watch for them. They were trapped when State Police pieced together a torn postal card bearing = Hawkins’ picture which was found in Davis’ cab. Police traced Hawkins to Owensboro where they found Hayden and Miss Luttrell. ’ | Hawkins, according to Sheriff Claude C. Conner of Clark County, recently was released from the Kentucky State Prison at Eddyville. No charges have heen filed against him, although voluntary manslaughter charges were placed against Hayden and Miss Luttrell.

He told police he ran when" the men ordered him to drive on. Police later recovered the taxi at Emerscn Ave. and Prospect St.
