LOCAL FIRM WINS HIGHWAY CONTRACT

The State Highway Commission has awarded two contracts for the paving of 10 miles of roads in Pike, Madison and Grant Counties at a cost of $283,315. One contract for -paving five miles of Road 17 in Pike County was awarded to the Berns Construction Co., of Indianapolis, on a low bid of $156, 421. The other contract for paving on Road 13 in Madison and Grant Counties was \|awarded to the Fairmount Construction Co. on a bid of $126,894,
