With the approach of Memorial Day, Speedway race news begins to spread beyond the confines of the sports pages and claims the attention of others besides the “dyed-in-the-wooi” sports fans. Many Indianapolis persons are planning box parties

Meridian Hills Juniors to Dance
Assisting tHe Meridian Hills Country Club juniors in arranging then dance tomorrow night will be an adult committee. The committee includes Dr. and Mrs. Ralph L. Lochry, chairmen, and Messrs. and Mesdames C. C. Binkley, Frank S. O'Neil, Russel S. Williams and William C. McGuire. Doc Thrasher's Orchestra of Bloomington will play. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Peterson will be in charge of the finals in the club’s duplicate contract bridge section tonight. Play will follow dinner. An informal dinner bridge party for adults will be held Saturday night. Country Club Gives Circus Dance Many Speedway race fans are expected fo attend the Indianapolis Country Club's Circus Dinner Dance next Thursday. Cards announcing the event carry a picture of a circus tent and an invitation to “race around the big top.” Bob McKittrick's Orchestra will play for dancing Mr. and Mrs. J I. Cummings, chairmen for the event, will be assisted by Messrs, and Mesdames Talbott Denny, William F. Souder Jr. and E. Fugene Whitehill. Kaltenborn Lectures Tomorrow Night H. V. Kaltenborn, news commentator, will lecture at 8:15 p. m. tomorrow at Caleb Mills Hall under sponsorship of St. Margaret's Hospital Guild.
