This car, designed by Harry Miller, was the twin of the car in which George Bailey, Detroit driver, was fatally injured May 7 when it went into a spin and crashed on the southeast turn of the Speedway. The first car of the team destroyed was that driven by Johnny Seymour. In a similar accident during pre-race runs last year, it crashed and burned, severely injuring Seymour.
