groups, will attend a special opening of the new plant of |
the Canada Dry Bottling Company, Inc., of Indianapolis, 123 West 22d street, this afternoon, prior to a formal opening to ‘which the general public is invited, which ‘will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 o'clock tonight. | Local business, professional and civic leaders have been | invited to attend a reception in the afternoon to meet officers | of the Owen-Illinois Glass Company, the Liquid Carbonic | Corporation and the Canada Dry Ginger Ale, Inc, of New| York. Several thousand persons are expected to inspect the plant during the evening and to sample the beverages which are being produced there. \ | The plant of the Canada Dry Bottling Company, Ine., of Indianapolis, which was recently completed at a cost of] approximately $300,000, is considered by the industry as one of the finest soft drink bottling plants in America. The, plant has a capacity of approximately 500,000 units per day | and will supply a territory comprised of Indiana, oe] Kentucky, eastern Illinois and western Ohio. Robert P. Joyce, the president of the Canada Dry Bottling Company, Inc, was associated for several years with the jewelry manufacturing industry in Indianapolis before assuming his present position. A native of Ohio, Mr. Joyce is married, has two children, and lives at 6115 Park .Avenue, Indianapolis.

Frank J. McCarthy, aged 35, holds the position of vice chairman of the Associated Railways of Indiana. Widely known in Indiana business circles, Mr. McCarthy is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the In-
