G. Barrett Moxley Home Scene Of Danner-Tarkington Wedding
Miss Jeanette Lambeth Tarkington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elvan Y. Tarkington, will become the bride of Burford Danner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Danner, in a ceremony at 4 p. m. today in the home of G. Barrett Moxley, a cousin of the Tarkingtons. Preceding the ceremony, Dale Young, organist, will play the Intermezzo from “Cavalleria Rusticana,” the “Prize Song” from “Die Meistersinger,” Rubenstein's “Kammenoi-Ostrow,” “To an Evening Star,” “The Venetian Love Song” and “Liebestraum.” The Mendelssohn and Lohengrin wedding marches will be played for the ceremony. Dr. Jean S. Milner will perform the ceremony before a large gold-framed mirror in the drawing room. At the base of the
mirror will be a low plateau of pink and blue hydrangeas, pale pink rambler roses, tulips and maidenhair fern, flanked by tubs of blue hydrangeas. Pink tapers will be used in the wall candelabra and 2 canopy of smilax strands will cover the ceiling of the room. Garlands of the smilax draped over the windows will be caught with sprays of pale pink roses.
Stairway Will Be Decorated
The stairway down which the bride and her attendants will come will be decorated with greenery and a pedestal of pink and blue hydrangeas, tulips and roses. As the party approaches the drawing room, seven ribbon bearers, Misses Ruth Fishback, Margaret Jameson, Fayette Ann Miller, Jane Axtell, Harriet Patterson, Anne Fox and Patricia Eaglesfield, will form an aisleway with ribbons caught with nosegays. Gowns of the attendants will be of marquisette in shades of blue. Designed with V necklines and short puffed sleeves, they will have bouffant skirts inset with panels of matching chantilly lace and ruffles at the hemlines. Mrs. Cornell Wooley Acheson, Wilmington, Del, the bride's cousin, will be in deep blue and Miss Irving Moxley, another cousin, will wear lighter blue. Mrs. William A. Garrigues Jr.,, New York, sister of the bridegroom and matron of honor, will wear pale blue. They will carry bouquets of light and dark blue delphenium and cornflowers and will wear pink lilies in their hair. The flower girl, Marjorie Tarkington, sister of the bride, will wear a long mist blue frock fashioned like those of the other attendants and will carry a basket made of blue maline petals filled with pink hydrangea blossoms.
Henry R. Danner to Be Best Man
The briae’s gown will be of white marquisette the echantilly lace bodice desighed with a square neckline and short puffed sleeves, A full-length train falling from the waistline will be bordered with a ruffle of chantilly lace. Her long illusion veil will fall from =a wreath of orange blossoms. Her cascade bouguet will be of white orchids, lilies of the valley and farlevense fern, Henry R. Danner will be his son's best man and ushers will he William A. Garrigues Jr, New York; Dr. Sidney Blandford, Cleveland; Charles DuPuy, Greensburg, Pa.; Thomas Ruckelshaus, Samuel R. Sutphin and Russell Fortune Jr. The bride's mother will wear dahlia pink jersev with orchids: Mrs. Danner will be in powder blue marguisette and lace. worn with orchids and lilies of the valley, and Mrs. E. A, Lambeth, grandmother of the bride, will wear minuet blue crepe. A reception for members of the families and intimate friends will follow at the Moxley home. Bowls of summer flowers will be used throughout the house. The wedding cake will rest upon a low plateau of lilies of the valley and silver bowls of gardenias. Lilies of the valley and swainsonia will be used on the table. Silver wine coolers filled with summer flowers will be used in the library.
Out-of-Town Guests Will Attend
Out-of-town guests will include William Brown and Mrs. Samuel D. Jones, Louisville; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Goff and Miss Jeannette Goff, Urbana, O.; Mr. and Mrs. J. Arthur Tarkington, Miss Martha Ann Tarkington, Stewart Tarkington and Mrs. Roy G. Smith, all of Cincinnati; Mrs. Sidney Blandford, Cleveland; Mrs. Hiram Norcross Jr., Mrs, Joseph W. Lewis and Mrs. Joseph W, Lewis Jr., all of St. Louis, and Miss Alice Goff, Nebraska City, Neb. Miss Margaret Jameson came from Byrn Mawr College for her cousin's wedding. The bride. attended Rockford College, Rockford, Ill, and is a member of the Dramatic Club. Her father is a first cousin of Booth Tarkington. Mr. Danner was graduated from Deerfield Academy and Williams College. He is 3 member of the Dramatic, Woodstock and Columbia Clubs and the Traders’ Point Hunt Mr. and Mrs. Danner will leave on a wedding trip, the bride traveling in a gray suit accented with white and worn with black accessories and a corsage of white orchids. Maxy Edith Luten Becomes Bride of John Bassel Watson
The Rt. Rev. Richard A. Kirchhoffer, bishop of the Diocese of Indianapolis, performed the ceremony at hoon today in the Propylzeum uniting Miss Mary Edith Luten, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel B. Luten, and John Bassel Watson, son of Mrs. Philemon Watson, Smilax garlands were draped over the three windows forming the bay in which the ceremony was read and boxes of tulips, lilacs and delphinium were placed at the base of each window. The bench upon which the couple knelt was flanked by pedestals of lilacs, yellow roses, tulips and summer flowers. League Wall Sponsor Grand Circuit Card
The Indianapolis Junior League will sponsor the opening dav's program of the formal opening of Grand Circuit Racing Saturday, June 22, Five days of racing at the State Tair Grounds, starting June 22, will serve as the opening and the first time that the “Big Line” has opened in Indiana. Len McNamara, who is one of the leaders in the Trotting Horse Club and the United States Trotting Horse Association, extended the invitation to the League to sponsor the opening day. Mrs. Booth T. Jameson, League president, said that committees will be named and plans for the sponsorship will be made within a few days. The League will have charge of the advance sale of tickets. Approximately $36000 in purses will be offered at the races here and outstanding horses in the harness world will compete for honors. At least seven recognized world champion trotters and pacers are included in the entry list, Grevhound is among the entries.

Miss Wilhelmina Luten, sister of the bride, and her only attendant, wore powder blue net in bouffant style, with a tucked bodice, shert sleeves and a romance neckline. Her flowers were lila in orchid shades. Elias C. Atkins, brother-in-law of Mr. Waison, was best man. A trio, composed of Mrs. Frank T. Edenharter, Mrs. Leland Fishback and Mrs. Robert Shultz, played bridal airs during the ceremony. Preceding the ceremony they played Debussy’s ‘“Romance” and “Clair de Lune,” “Ave Maria,” “To an Evening Star” and “Liebestraum.” A reception at the Propylaeum followed the ceremony. Japanese apple blossoms and summer flowers were used in decorations. In the dining room white lilacs were used on the table and the cake rested on a plateau of lilacs and smilax. Bowls of white tulips, lilacs and snapdragons were placed before the mirrors. Out-of-town guests for the wedding were Mrs. Daniel Royse, New York, and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Gallaher, Charleston, W.
