SOCIETY— Out-of-Town Guests Arriving for The Danner-Tarkington Wedding

The arrival of guests is adding to the activity attendant upon the marriage of Miss Jeannette Tarki and Burford Danner Saturday. Miss Tarkington is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elvan Y. Tarkington. Mr. and Mrs. William A. Garrigues Jr., New York, and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Blandford, Cleveland, O.

already have arrived and are the guests of Mr. Danner’s parents, Mr, and Mrs. Henry R. Danner. Mrs, Garrigues, the bridegroom-t0-be's sister, will be matron of honar Mrs. Joseph Lewis, Mrs. Harold Norcroft and Joseph Lewis Jr. all of St. Louis, will arrive later this week to be the Danners’ house guests and to attend the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ruckelshaus and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Fortune Jr. were to entertain for Miss Tarkington and Mr. Danner this afternoon at the Ruckelshaus home. Mr. and Mrs, Otto Frenzel Jr. will entertain tomorrow afternoon at their country home, and tomorrow evening Mr. Danner will give a bachelor dinner for his ushers and a few intimate friends. His ushers will be Mr. Blandford, Mr. Garrigues, ‘Charles Dupuy, Greensburg, Pa; Mr. Fortune, Mr. Ruckelshaus and Samuel R. Sutphin. Miss Fayette Ann Miller will give a hancheon at her home Thursday for Miss Tarkington. Guests will be Misses Joan Taylor, Jane Axtell, Ann Fox, Harriett Patterson, Irving Moxley, Jane Adams, Patricia Eaglestield, Mrs. Garrigues and Mrs. Tarkington. Mrs. William B. Burford will entertain for the families, their house guests and friends Thursday afternoon, and Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs, Conrad Ruckelshaus will give a dinner for the bridal party.

Symphony Women's Board Meets Tomorrow

The annual all-day meeting of the executive board of the Mdiana State Symphony Society's women's commitiee will be held tomorrow at the home of Mrs, Charles Latham, new president of the committee, Meeting of the present board will commence at 10 a. m. and the incoming officers and directors will meet-at 2:15 D. m. Mrs. Latham will preside at both meetings. Officers of the present board for the last year have been Mes dames Frederic M. Ayres, William H. Ball, James W. Fesler, Jack A. Goodman, Sylvester Johnson, Miss Lucy Taggart and Mrs. Latham. Chairmen of standing committees have been Mesdames Frederick G. Appel, Harold H. Amholter, Thaddeus R. Baker, James F. Carroll, G. H. A Clowes, Frank Hoke, P. R. Mallory, Herbert M. Woollen, Goodman and Latham, Miss Taggart and Miss Josephine Madden. New officers and board members will be announced following tomorrow's election.
