Red Evans and Harry Smythe worked on the Miller slab and the Indians collected 10 hits to eight for the visitors. Allen Hunt is the only Rekskin who has garnered one or more hits in the four games played. He got one yesterday. The Indians had one or more runners on the paths in every inning and in two stanzas they left three on. Even pinch hitters fell down in the clutch to make it a cheerless day for Manager Griffin. Pitcher Eugene Hinrichs, south paw, was turned back to the Cincinnati Reds today and will be on his way to Birmingham tonight. He was here on option and it was decided to place him out in a league of lower classification. The Reds own the Birmingham club of the Southern Association.
BASEBALL Empire Life and Accident will practice at 4 p. m. tomorrow on Garfield 3. All players are to report.
Beanblossom will play Lilly Varnish at 2:30 p. m. Saturday and Sunday. Both games are scheduled for Rhodius 2.
