First Lady Gives Tea for D. A. R.

WASHINGTON, April 19 (U. P). —Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt receives members of the Daughters of the American Revolution for tea at the White House today. Mrs. Roosevelt, who resigned from the D. A. R. last year after it had barred Negro contralto Marian Anderson from its Constitution Hall, was out of town last year and did not attend the annual White House reception. The tea highlights the closing day of the D. A. R. Congress. Two honorary vice presidents general—who will serve for life—will be installed today. They are Mrs. Gerald .L. Schuyler of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. William H. Vaught, Point Pleasant, W. Va.
