“Skylark.” Mr. Cook played with Alexander Woollcott in “Wine of Choice,” with Thornton Wilder in “Our Town” and with Sinclair Lewis in “It Can’t Happen Here.” His impressions are set forth as follows: “All were easy and natural on the stage, but they lacked stage technique. Woollcott would constantly try to improve the script by adding lines here and there, very often straying fro the cue. Lewis, though he knew his lines and generally kept to them, couldn’t understand why he had to be on a certain spot at a certain word. “Wilder spoke too rapidly for anyone to follow.”
