District congressional candidate, today called on the district to “quit its approval of the New Deal and

join the ranks of those who would save and rebuild this country along ‘safe and sane lines uncer the Constitution.” " Mr. Stark spoke at a joint luncheon of three Republican clubs in the Columbia Club. “The New Deal theorists are no more in favor of social progress than we Republicans are,” he said. “They are only more willing to experiment for the sake of votes. Seven years of New Deal .experiments should convince us that we have no hope if it continues.” Mr. Stark said he is opposed to “sending our boys to die on anybody’s foreign battle field.”
