tary of State’s office, Mr. Klein said,
he was greeted by loud: singing which, he added, probably was the reason his knocking on the door was not heard.
Board to Check All Police Posts
The State Police Board will inspect all posts in the state and award cups and medals for outstanding performance during 1939.
Board members will start the tour Tuesday and travel over the state together, Claude Crooks, Board president, announced. A cup for the best. general performance during the year will be awarded to officers at the Seymour post. The awards based on efficiency’ in making reports and general crime work in the district. Also, several medals will be awarded members of various posts for the best handling of hit and run traffic cases and for outstanding work in other criminal investigations.
SCOUT TROOP 133 WILL BE INSTALLED
Boy Scout Troop 133 will be instelled at 8 p. m. today at John Strange School. The new troop is
being sponsored by the P.-T. A. of the school.. The installation will be in charge of F. O. Belzer and R. J. Webb, scout executives, assisted by Troop 56, sponsored by the Broad Ripple American Legion Post. Boys who will receive tenderfool pins are Robert Avels Jr., James Blakeslee, John Bodenhamer, ‘Dean Bonnette, Robert Donham, Frank Howard, Kenneth Millican, Richard Retterer, Dale Roberts, David H. Scott and William Stoeffler. Troop officers are J. Clifton Hirschman, scoutmaster, and Dr. Paul Blakeslee, chairman of the troop committee. Committee members are William Bodenhamer, Frank S. Howard, D. P. Bonnette and R. W. Retterer.

Mr. and Mrs. Indiana can expect some new dishes in Hoosier restaurants after ‘April 17, and the service in some of them also will show improvement. Those two phases of the restaurant business will be concentrated upon April 15-17 when more than 500 restaurant owners and operators meet here in the seventh annual Indiana Restaurant Association: convention and -trade exposition at the Hotel Antlers. Among the authorities will be Miss Margaret Canavan of New York City, food expert of Standard Brands, Inc, who will demonstrate food products and their place on restaurant menus. }
