The new plant of the Canada Dry Bottling Co., Inc, of Indianapolis, at 123 W. 22d St., will be opened Monday. ‘The plant represents an investment of $300,000 and will provide employment for 100 men, officials said. George S. Oliver, chairman of the industrial commission of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the plant not only as a new. industry, but as an industrial showplace. * Company officials said that a public opening is being arranged. The plant, which contains §5,000 square feet of floor space, is modern in botly architecture and equipment. The exterior is adorned with structural glass and modern lines have been followed

The company will serve Indiana, part of Ohio, including Cincinnati and Eastern Illinois, the territory being the largest served by a licensed Canada Dry bottling plant in the country. The equipment includes a 40ton ice machine which has a capacity of reducing the temperature of 900 gallons of water an hour to 34 degrees. After this cooling process, the water passes into a carbonator with a capacity of 1200 gallons per hour. The officers of the company in= cludes Robert Joyce, president; PF. J. McCarty, vice president, and Charles E. Stevens, secretary and treasurer.

CINCINNATI, O., April 11 (U.P). —The Procter & Gamble Co. announced today that $3,205,000 would be paid to stockholders as an’ extra dividend of 50 cents a share on common stock.
