Chevrolet Sales Sales Official Cites Two Factors for 1940 Advance. |

The “biggest year ever” in used cars was predicted today. by E. A. Nimnicht of Detroit, Chevrolet as-

Mr. Hock said the best used car for the purchaser ranged in age from one to four years because performance and economy of operation outweighed the added cost of newer used cars. He added that one of the most popular used cars in the Chevrolet line was the 1936 model.

TAVERN OWNER DIES IN CRASH

Sherman W. Dakins Victim As His Auto and Truck Sideswipe.

Sherman W. Dakins, 2045 N. New Jersey 6%. salesman and tavern owner, was killed: instantly last night in an auto-truck crash on Road 34 near New Ross, Ind. State Police said that Mr. Dakins’ car and 'a truck driven by Clem Baldwin, Crawfordsville, were traveling in opposite directions and sideswiped. Mr. Dakins, who was 48, was a salesman for the Plumbers Supply Co. and was the owner of a tavern at 2045 Central Ave.
