Deputy Tony Maio ol

There’s a brisk eontroversy at the Marion County Jail today over who shall name a black /and white puppy and what he shall name it. The puppy was rescued yesterday from a small island below the ' 64th St. bridge over White River. Deputies Tony Maio and Harry Cook were sent there after the presence of the pup on the island was reported by Thad Schoen, 6240 N. Delaware St. Walking with his own dog, Mr Schoen heard the stranded pup whine and called the officers. Deputies Maio and Cook tied a rope to the bridge and Deputy Maio let himself down to the island hand over hand. He tied the half-frozen pup to the rope and Deputy Cook pulled
