At the close of the first hour wheat was up 3% to % cent with May at $1.057% a bushel. Corn was unchanged to % cent higher, oats 13% to % cent higher, and rye up 3% to 5% cent. Soybeans were up 3 cent.

WASHINGTON, March 25.—The Commerce Department reported today that Marion County, Indiana, stood 34th in the nation in 1937 in the number of manufacturing plants in operation. It was 35th ‘among the nation’s 3070 counties in the number of wage earners employed in the manufacturing plants.
In 1929, Marion County ranked 32d nationally in the number of
