Both Sides Sink Ships

As Scandinavian newspapers have pointed out, the nature of Scandinavian imports makes it imperative for them to continue their prewar commerce with both countries, equally for needed imports and for the means with which to pay for them. Se > Germany, however, is crippling shipping to England and France by submarine and plane, -and secret, mine-fields ‘laid by both sides have ‘taken additional toll. : England and France, on the other hand, have cut off the heavy transit{ trade from abroad which formerly was carried to Germany in Scandinavian bottoms. .
