Inspection trips to the Indianapolis Power & Light Ce, Perry K station and the State Highway Commission “testing laboratory are on the program of the 60th annual ' All-Engineers meeting at the Ho- - tel Lincoln Saturday.
Approximately 300 engineers of Indiana are, expected to ate tend the meeting, which is under the auspices of the Indiana Engineering Council. Climax of the convention is to be an address at the annual banquet Saturday evening by Dr. Alonzo J. Hammond of Chicago, American Engineering Coun- « cil president. He is to explain how local and national organizations of engineers benefit the profession economically and socially. Entertainment at the banquet is to be provided by Barney's Radio Aces, according to Sam C. Hadden of Indianapolis, state council secretary-treasurer,

Griffiths of the Car-negie-Illinois Steel Co., Chicago, is to discuss “Stainless Steels and ‘Their Application From an Engineer’s Viewpoint.” Other convention speakers and their subjects include. Sheridan, Indianapolis consulting engineer, “Wa‘ter Resources Problems in Indiana and Their Solution”; L. V. Manual Seniors. to Elect—Manusal Training High School senior officers will be elected tomorrow. Nominees for president are Allen Smith, William Kniptash, Robert Timmons and Walter Rafert. Of the other officers, one is chosen for each senior roil room. Nominees for vicé president are Jack Hoyt, Maurice Brink, James oble, Mr. Kniptash and Mr. Timmons. Townsend Club to Give Party—Townsend Club 52 will celebrate the opening of its new clubrooms at 4424 W. Washington St., with a dinner party at 6:30 p. m. torhorrow at the rooms. The Rev. R. M. Dodrill, pastor of the Broadway Baptist Church, will speak. Dancing to the music of Myers’ Band will follow.
East Club to Give Party—The East End Townsend Club 54 will hold a card party at 8 p. m. tomorrow at the V. P. W. Hall at Washington and Pennsylvania Sts. Earle Keithley is club president.
Townsend Club Makes Debut— The first meeting of Townsend Club 61 will be held at 7:30 p. m. today at the McClainville. School 72 at Troy and Carson Aves. The Club has received its charter from the national organization, Officers will be elected.
Tithe Editor to Speak—W. P. Carr, editor of Time Magazine, will speak on “Time, Its Principles and Aims,” at 7:15 o'clock tonight following a Professional Men’s Forum dinner at the Columbia Club. A sound film, “Science in Business” will also be shown.
Guild to Hear Watch Expert—E. H. Harwood of Chicago, Swiss material expert in the watchmaking trade, will’ be guest speaker at an Indianapolis Guild of Watchmakers’ meeting tomorrow at the Antlers Hotel Mr. Harwood will discuss the importing difficulties brought about by the present war in Europe. Patrolman Zunk Scalded—Patrplman Frank Zunk, 716 N. Warman Ave. received severe burns today
when steam from the radiator of his police car scalded his face and hands. The accident occurred in the police headquartefs garage when Mr. Zunk took the radiator cap off the car. He was treated by the police first aid squad.
Medical Exams Held--Examina-tions for the diploma of the Ameri= can Board of Internal Medicine were held at .the Indiana School of Medicine yesterday under the direction of Dr. Rebert M. Moore, faculty member. Candidates included practicing physicians from Louisville, Ky., Cincinnati, O.,, and Indianapolis. This was the first examination held here since the Board of Internal Medicine inaugurated the system of examinations in 1936.

Myers Overrun | Motion od Postponement From ‘March 4.
Dan R. Anderson, local grocer charged with filing false relief claims- in Marion County, is scheduled to go on trial March 4. Criminal Court Judge Dewey E. Myers late yesterday overruled a motion seeking postponement. The motion was filed by Mr. Anderson's attorney, Paul Rochford, who said he had a case in Probate Court on that date. It was overruled a few hours after it was filed. Mr. Anderson is the first of five persons, indicted in the recent Grand Jury probe of Center Township relief, scheduled to be tried, J.
Barton Griffin, milk route owner, is to be tried March 25 before Special Jidge Omar O’Harrow of Martinsville.
