Indianapolis garden clubs yesterday in Ayres’ Tearoom. Following the lecture a representative of each club started the growth of a box of plants by the hydroponic method. The plants will be displayed on Ayres’ seventh floor and later at the Home Show, . Mrs. Harold Hayes, chairman for the luncheon meeting yesterday, was assisted by Mrs. Robert Miles, cochairman, and Mesdames Edward Katzenberger, Joseph Walpole and Vance Wilkinson. Loy Presidents of clubs represented at the meeting are Mrs. Miles, Arbutus Garden Club; Mrs. Katzenberger, Brookside; Mrs. G. W. Dyer, Golden Glow; Mrs. Howard T. Woolf, Woman’s Department Club; Mrs. Louis Wolf, Garden Study Club, and Mrs. Perry O’Neal, Indianapolis. " By the hydroponics method, developed by Prof. William F. Plants grown by this method require less than one-tenth the water needed for soil farming and each square foot of area used is estimated

to equal five square feet of garden

soil, Mrs. Vandy said.
