Lack of Sight Is No Curb "On Alec Templeton’s Wit

member of a concert committee —Mrs. Gotrox is Alec's name for the breed—tackles him back stage in the concert hall he can excuse himself with, “I hear my friend, Mr. Jones, over there. I must say goodby to him.” : That leaves his manager to assume a pose of embarrassment as

. ‘he explains, “Poor Alec was talking to Mr. Jones before the con-

cert and couldn't see that the man was just the janitor.” Alec loves talking to people and always wants to get acquainted with the whole stage crew around a concert hall. There was another Mr. Jones whose conversation interested Alec very much, and in farewell Alec remarked, “We shall see you at the party the concert committee is giving for me, won't we?” . Mr. Jones said, “No.” Alex's manager cautioned: “That was the door man you invited to this swanky party. You'll have to be more careful.” 7 With his intimates Alec occasionally likes a resounding big oath in his jests. Frequently one of those has blistered the ears of some female Alec could not see nearby. He looks properly penitent at the time and .roars with laughter about it afterward. Alec is a vivacious young man, ull of laughter and joy in living. Music, conversation and listening to radio keep his days full. His radio set is going most of the time—daytime serials and all. The objections of his friends strike him as very comical as he listens avidly to the Goldbergs.

he went to the piano and improvised a three-minute rhapsody. These improvisations of Alec are an amazing facet of his talent. On the spur of the moment he always can turn out a piece in regular form and with musical substance in it. They remain in hjs memory, too, if he wants to repeat them. His memory is uncanny. .Voices stay in his mind for years as

Someone plays it for him or he gets a recording. single afternoon he can commit to memory a major work, concerto or sonata. Development of his own interpretation takes longer, but, remember, your average concert artist may work days or wgeks getting just the notes firmly in mind. » ”» » APPARENTLY MUSIC was as inherent as breathing in Alec Templeton. The blind little tot was playing by ear and improvising tunes long before he had any formal instruction. When that did come he found he was being taught a lot of things: he already knew and merely had to learn names for. “There are sounds that have

The picture is entitled Your Money.” The script was written by A. Hazelton Rice, a Boston Secret Service agent, who also was in charge of the technical production end. Secret Service agents, stenographers and typists in the office here served as actors and actresses. One of them was agent Frank Burke, who has spent 45 of his 70 years with the Service. He took the part of a storekeeper who is duped by counterfeiters. . The Secret Service will handle the distribution of its own film. :
