Public Works Administration to pay 45 per cent of a $10,278 increase in the cost of Stuart Memorial Hall at Technical High School. : The cost is being raised because the total of bids en the project exceeded estimates made before construction began, officials said. The Board yesterday voted to revise the estimates. i The Board also awarded a contract to the Skinner Engine Co., of Erie, Pa., for a engine generator for Tech High School's power plant on a bid of $30,426, The contract for the construction of foundations was awarded to the Service Construction Co., 417 Castle Hall Building, on a $3508 bid. The piping contract was awarded to Fred G. Janitz, 619 Virginia Ave. and the electrical contract went to the Hatfield Electric Co., 108 8. Meridian St., on its $5464 bid. One hundred and 62 new: typewriters to replace old ones now in use were purchased from five typewriter firms at a total cost of $6599.
