The sixth Indianapolis supermarket of The Greal Atlantic &| Pacific Tea Co..at 1515 N. Alabama St. will be opened formally tomorrow, J. A. Lindgren Jr., vice president in charge of the company’s

Indianapolis unit, announced today. The modern structure has 10,000 square feet of floor space and has a light tan brick front and yellow brick sides. Parking areas will provide facilities for customers’ cars and will be floodlighted, Mr. Lindgren said. The many departments of the store are large and two features include special departments for cheese and dairy products and smoked meats. There are 48 feet of refrigerated meat counters. Mr, Lindgren said there are “no frills about the new building, only a practical arrangement of modern equipment.” The raw wood fixtures were made by local carpenters. “We have made every effort to provide homemakers with an opportunity to purchase food at the lowest possible prices in an up-to-the-minute new supermarket,” Mr. Lindgren said. Other Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. supermarkets are located at 38th St. and College Ave.” 3021 W. Washington St., 3315 N. Illinois St., 55 S. State St. and 5541 E. Washington St. All have been built within the last two years.
