.. The American Legion Auxiliary entered 1940 with 74.69 per cent of its membership enrolled in advance for the new year, officials of the National Headquarters here announced today. The advance enrollment of 357,544 members was an incresae of 43,391 over 1939 and a new high record. The total enrollment for 1939 was 482,348, a gain of 17483 over 1938. The 1940 total is expected to exceed 500,000.
