ELKHART. Ind., Dec. 20 (U. P). -—Bdward H. Beardsley, Elkhart business executive, announced today that he will be a candidate for the Republican nomination as State Senator to succeed his cousin, State Senator Walter R. Beardsley. Edward H. Beardsley is general manager of Miles Laboratories, Inc.. and has been a city councilman for five years. Senator Beardsiey, vice president of the same company, has announced he will not be a candidate for re-election because of the press of business affairs.
