HOOSIER FACES TRIAL IN DEATH OF FATHER

WINCHESTER, Ind. Dec. 22 (U. P.) James M. Gleason, 27, will face trial on a first degree murder charge Feb. 26 in Randolph Circuit Court, Judge John W., Macy said today. “ Judge Macy pronounced Gleason sane late yesterday. He had been held since October on a charge of slaying his father at Yorktown in

1934. Since 1934 he has been in the hospital for the criminal insane at the Michigan City Prison.

Joy Ride Ends in Court

A 50-mile joy ride ended in Federal Court today for three Clinton, Ind., youths, The trio, 16 and 17 years old, were to be brought before Judge Robert C. Baltzell, charged with violating the Dyer Motor Vehicle Theft Act. They were arrested at

eral law the youths were able to appear before Judge Baltzell without having their case acted upon by a Federal Grand Jury.

WABASH RAIL LOAN 0. Kd WASHINGTON, Dec. 22 (U. P.) — The Interstate Commerce Commission yesterday approved a loan of $9,300,000 by the RFC to the receivers of the Wabash Railway Co. The railway will use $6,500,000 of the funds to retire outstanding obligations and the remainder to repair 1694 boxcars at its Decatur, Ill, terminal.
