MONDAY, DEC. 18 1030 JANE JORDAN

DEAR JANE JORDAN am & man of $8 and I have been going With a girl for six years. She is 10 years younger than I, and we have loads of fun when we go out. She quit two months ago. We had talked of felting married and when I calied on her to set the date she sald, “No. We'are through. I dont think we will ever mary.” She set a time for us to meet again when she would tell me Whether she had changed her mind or not, but before the time was up she wrote me and said “no” again. I love her and always will. She is on my mind day and night. I am trying very hard to get her although she told me that Jast day that she did not Tove me or anyone else But now I cannot go to see her any more She stays out late And when I call her she save she is sleepy and tired. We both have Food Jobs, and I am in Jove but she is not. What shall I do? WANT TO MARRY.

Answer There is only one thing you can do and that is to accept the fact that the girl does not Tove you. When she says ho your Part is to assume that she means no, and if she discovers that she doesnt mean what she avs, it is her bad luck. A girl may say no in 8 Bt of anger. hoping and praving that it will stimulate a man to overcome her resistance. but when she consistently avoids him and makes flimsy excuses for not seeing him, it is safe to conclude that she really has grown cold and doesnt want to be bothered. Nothing is more unwelcome to a woman than the love-making of & man for whom she cares nothing. To be loved by someone you dont want always is an emotional burden. No man can improve his status by hanging on after he has been refused. IT anything would revive the girls interest it would be the ease with which you replace her with another, and preferably more attractive, girl. This is hard jo take under any circumstances, The fact that this woman doesnt Jove vou doesnt mean that rome other woman wouldnt be more responsive. Why bother to overcome this girl's no when there are so many others to replace her? » J » » = »

DEAR JANE JORDAN--T am & boy of 15 very much in Jove with R girl at school who is seven months older than myself. We have had quite & few dates in the past four months and never have had an argument. I am quite sure she feels the same toward me as I So toward her for she has told me vo. Neither of us thinks that it would be wise to go steady. Am I wrong in going with a girl older than myself? I wont say I am unutual in comparison to other fellows, but I have been told I act and look older than I am. YOUNGER

Answer— Why worry about a difference in age when youre only 1% and having & good time? The fact that the girl is older makes vou feel a little juvenile instead of dominant, and this is what annove vou. However, the situation isnt permanent, and as long as vou enjoy the girl's company it would be foolish to forego it for this Yeason. JANE JORDAN,
